Rod Stewart is finally releasing some new material after spending his recent years focusing on doing covers.
The music legend has reportedly written and produced 11 of the 12 tracks on his new record, the aptly-named Time, which is due to hit shelves in May.

Rod, who has continued to have a string of hit albums despite them not containing new songs, has finally put pen to paper after suffering from writer’s block.
He revealed in a statement that it was his autobiography, entitled Rod: The Autobiography, that inspired him again.
The singer has released a number of cover albums over past two decades.
“Something about that process of reviewing my life for the book reconnected me and that was it… Suddenly ideas for lyrics were piling up in my head,” he said.
And while fans have had to wait some 20 years for something new from the 68-year-old crooner, we have a feeling they won’t be disappointed.
