H&M’s Latest Conscious Collection Includes Some Alternative (And Affordable) Wedding Dresses

TOO. COOL. FOR. SCHOOL.

Cathy Donohue

As if H&M’s designer collaborations weren’t exciting enough, the Swedish retailer has just launched uber cool wedding wear.

Three eco-friendly bridal looks, all equally gorgeous and completely different, mark the first foray into bridalwear for the H&M Conscious collection.

Niké, €399

Boho brides will love the embellished loose ‘Christie’ gown, the Victorian lace ‘Niké’ is gloriously feminine and the simple white V-neck ‘Pandora’ is a must for anyone favouring the minimalist look.

The entire Conscious Exclusive line is eco-friendly, using “innovative sustainable materials and ornate embellishment”, as voiced by H&M’s creative advisor, Ann-Sofie Johansson.

Take the Christie dress for example. Made from two layers,  the inner one is made of Tencel and nylon, while the outer one, featuring a deeper armhole, is made of organic silk.

Aside from the wedding dresses, the Conscious collection includes some gorgeous separates inspired by the Musée des Arts Décoratif, the arts Museum located in the Lourve.

Silk caftans, embellished skirts, printed floor-length gowns – the collection, which drops on 7th April, is a fashion lover’s dream.
