Taylor Swift’s latest tune 22 has made its debut… and, more notably, people have been scouring the song looking for references to her ex Harry Styles.
The short-lived relationship ended as Taylor’s last single Trouble made it big, how apt. Since, Taylor’s been rumoured to be hooking up with Styles’s buddy and singer Ed Sheeran.
We’d say he’s dreading the day they make or break up. Cue: song from Swifty.
For now, here are what could be the top five references to Harry Styles in the song:
1. The T-Shirt
Taylor wears a t-shirt that reads “Not a lot going on at the moment”. It speaks for itself really.
2. The Heart
Taylor smashed up a massive papier-maché heart and kicks it a few times. Is this a metaphor for her relationship with Harry? Could be.
3. The Lyrics
“It feels like the perfect night… to make fun of her exes”. We bet Harry’s quaking in his boots… what secrets could Taylor be sharing with her buddies?
“You don’t know about me, but I bet you want to…” Taylor makes Styles jealous with her in-song flirting… (and she’s looking hot).
4. The Beanie
Hmmm. Swifty wears a green beanie that is very similar to the hat Harry likes to wear. Has Harry just realised his hat is missing?
5. Her Look
Taylor, as aforementioned, is looking well. Her hipster style has us looking forward to long summer evenings (please, Ireland, this year…) and, we’ll say it, it’s a fairly banging pop tune…
