A presenter in the States has won a lawsuit against her stalker who shared a nude video of her on the internet.
Erin Andrews, a sports broadcaster and TV host, filed a lawsuit against her stalker and a hotel after he was given access to a room adjacent to hers in the hotel in 2008 and filmed her through a peep hole, obtaining nude footage, which he later uploaded online.
According to Mashable, the video he shared had been viewed around 17 million times and Miss Andrews was seeking damages for the video which she says had a massive impact on her life.
Yesterday she won the case and received $55million in damages from both parties.
Her stalker is currently serving a two years prison sentence for the crime after pleading guilty to stalking.
Erin Andrews jury split damages between the stalker – who went to jail over this – and the hotel companies – $28 and $26m respectively.
