Say goodbye to the Jammie Dodgers you know and love.
They’re going to be getting a new look and a ‘fruitier taste’ in a bid to boost sales, according to The Mirror.
The company behind the popular biscuits, Burton’s Biscuits, are reducing the sugar amount in the biscuits by 22% and creating new packaging.
The new look and taste are intended to ‘refocus on its core biscuit portfolio’ and appeal to consumer needs which are ‘crispier biscuits and a fruitier flavoured jam’.
Burton’s spokesman David Costello said, “Last year was challenging for the biscuit sector and, as a result of changing shopper and retail landscape, we decided to withdraw Bakes to focus on driving quality and visibility of Jammie Dodger this year.”
