One mum was tired of being taken for granted… so decided to make a point.
Redditor Chalipo is a full-time student, living at home and being well cared-for by his mum in Ontario, Canada.
The 23-year old has been living at home for the past 13 months – and yesterday, he was greeted with an invoice.
His mum had decided to rack up a list of costs and expenses, including tuition, his share of all the household bills, cleaning and vacuuming services, and ‘incidental food/sundries’ taken from the kitchen.
There was also charged a $1,000 fine for ‘being an asshole’.
The frustrated mum totted up the cost of supporting her son to $39, 254.17 (nearly €27,000)…
It seems like the plan worked though, with Chalipo writing:
‘This was a very effective parenting technique and it has helped me to realize what an entitled little shit I have been. I hope to one day be successful enough to support my family and repay her, but she doesn’t expect me to.’
Now that’s how you do parenting.
