Ever wonder if it’s possible to be friends with an ex? We might just have the answer…
According to a new poll conducted by the Associated Press and WE TV, you’re a lot more likely to think about cutting your ex out of your life than ever following through on the actions.
While some people might think it’s possible to stay friends with an ex… the results don’t seem to back up the facts.
Based on interviews with more than 1,200 US adults, the survey found that while more than half the people surveyed were against maintaining friendships with their exes, a third of respondents said they had slept with their exes, with another third saying feelings for their ex had stood between them and new relationships.

In fact, you could be secretly pining to take a second chance at finding the ‘happy-ever-after’ to your love affair – with 41 percent reporting that they had gotten back together with an ex after keeping the friendship lines blurred.
So what if you’d like to keep your friendship, but you’re worried it could get complicated?
Well, apparently it’s all down to that old chestnut time.
The majority of participants pointed to taking a break from each other as being the best healer to moving a relationship into the ‘friend-zone’.
The survey also found that friends and family were ranked as the most important people in helping heal that heartache.
So remember, when they kindly take your phone from you for the first few days, you need to trust their healing process.
