Ah no.
Coronation Street staple Sally Dynevor has suggested that she’s ready to leave the cobbles.
The actress has planned the snobby but loved Sally Webster for 30 years. The 52-year-old admits that she’s getting itchy feet and is eager to explore other roles.
According to The Mirror, Sally said she loves the warm and funny side of character but that the emotionally charged plots have become too much. She also reportedly said that some of the things her character says have caused her embarrassment.
Several of her co-stars have announced their departure recently including Alison King (Carla), Ryan Thomas (Jason) and Craig Charles (Lloyd).
Many of her co-stars have found success in the BBC drama Happy Valley.
Sarah Lancashire, who played barmaid Raquel, and Julie Hesmondhalgh, who was transsexual Hayley have both gained praise for their roles in the show.
Sally told The Sunday People:
“After 30 years at Coronation Street I do get itchy feet, but who knows what would happen if I left? I don’t want to risk leaving something that I’m enjoying.
“I went to see Julie Hesmondhalgh in a new play recently. It was absolutely brilliant and it did make me think, ‘Oh, should I do this? Should I leave?”.
She likened her character to Sarah Palin and said that the things she said are worrying.
She continued to say that she had no concrete plans and that she does love her role on the cobbles.
