English footballer Adam Johnson has pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming at Bradford Crown Court this morning.
The Sunderland player admitted to having sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming, involving kissing and touching the victim’s body in a sexual way.
According to Sky News, Johnson admitted to knowing that the girl was under 16 at the time.
The accused has denied two further charges of sexual activity with a child.
He will now sign the sex offenders’ registry, but faces trial for the remaining two charges.
