If you thought that H&M was all about bagging the latest bargain, think again because in the last week they’ve repositioned themselves as a big name fashion heavyweight.
Not only did an Oscar winning actress wear one of their creations on the red carpet at this year’s awards ceremony place, the brand have just staged a catwalk show as part of Paris Fashion Week with all the usual glitz and glamour you would expect.
Hosted in the grounds of the Musee Rodin in a purpose built H&M home, the unconventional catwalk revolved around themed rooms.
There was a retro kids room complete with vintage toys, a dining area just crying out for a fancy dinner party, a bedroom, super swanky bathroom and sitting room that looked like it belonged in an IKEA catalogue.
And the models didn’t disappoint either – from Cara Delevingne to Arizona Muse, the show had a distinctly A-list vibe.
But what about the clothes? Available online and in 200 stores worldwide from September 5th, the collection featured lots of boho inspired separates including velvet jackets and waistcoats, sheer maxi skirts and braiding but it also contains lots of sexy, slightly 60s inspired options too.
And best of all, it’s not crazy expensive either! The whole collection will be sold at the exact same price point as H&M’s usual fare so you really can grab a piece of the hot-of-the-catwalk action without having to take out a small loan.
