It was one of standout books of the last five years and now the release date for the film version of 50 Shades of Grey has been revealed.
Apparently fans can expect to see E.L. James’ creation on the big screen as soon as next summer (2014).
E.L. James has had incredible success with her trilogy.
And even better (depending on how you feel about the antics of Christian Grey) is the fact that all three books are going to be transformed for the cinema.
Speaking about it Chairman of Universal Pictures Adam Fogelson said: “I don’t believe that (E.L. James) had any interest in going to a studio where rushing it into production was the vision.”
He added: “And I think that there are totally legitimate questions about what this book is as a movie. I will tell you that it is an absolute priority for us. It’s conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer.”
Ryan Gosling was one of the actors in the frame to play Christian Grey.
As to who will be stepping into the shoes of the lead characters, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, it’s still anybody’s guess.
But what we do know is that Ryan Gosling (we have our fingers and toes crossed), Emma Watson, Cillian Murphy, Kristen Stewart and Mila Kunis are just a few the names associated with the roles.
