It’s a decision we’d welcome but it seems unlikely.
Following Trump’s continuously controversial comments about Muslim immigration, two petitions surfaced online. Ban Donald Trump from Ireland and Ban Donald Trump from entering Ireland were shared with the Irish government’s Joint Committee on Public Service Oversight and Petitions.
The committee deal with suggestions made by the public and while they will discuss the issue today, as stated on The Journal the regulations of the committee state a petition cannot be considered if it “contains the name or names of individuals”.
Sorry Tumpy, the sentiment is still the same.
