Six days into the New Year, and chances are you’re struggling with your resolution to lose weight and keep up the fitness momentum.
Speaking to MailOnline, fitness guru Zanna Van Dijk has shared her secret tip to keeping those healthy kick resolutions – and it’s all down to your computer skills.
Zanna claims that she retains her slender figure despite eating chocolate every day, thanks to her excel spreadsheet:
“Like, when I open my laptop I have an excel spreadsheet with a list of small goals.
“For example, one of my goals is I want to be able to do 10 pull-ups – at the moment I can do about six, so I’m getting there. Those sorts of goals really work for the normal person.”
The reason she maps out her plans?
Making small, concise goals means you won’t be demotivated by long-term deadlines that won’t be easily attained:
“It’s unlikely that you’re going to achieve something like that. So set little goals.
“Say to yourself “I want to lose three pound this month” or “I want to start eating healthier breakfasts.”
“Saying to yourself: “I’m not going to eat chocolate for a whole year”, will just mean you will likely fail.”
Remember there’s nothing wrong with being ambitious – just don’t let your goals be the reason you’re back on the couch demotivated by January 31st.
