In the age where social media is ubiquitous and images of polished celebrity perfection are a constant presence, it’s nice to be reminded just how much work goes into those seemingly ‘effortless’ photos.
Australian comedian Celeste Barber’s Instagram account juxtaposes highly glamorous celebrity selfies and holiday snaps with her own hilarious recreations.
Celeste told Buzzfeed: ‘I wanted to try and show how ridiculous it would be for a ‘normal’ person to recreate some of these photos.’ It’s often hard being constantly bombarded with images of these people and their ‘perfect’ and expertly lit lives, so an account like this can give us a laugh and show that aspiring to be like this is a total waste of time.

Celeste copies the poses of Gigi Hadid, Lady Gaga, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian with aplomb, and we’re delighted this account exists.
It makes you wonder, how many hours are spent by these people in the public eye getting their social media posts just right. Seems exhausting.
