Looking at the younger photos of Brooklyn-born Frank, no one could have predicted that he would grow into the world’s most festive and committed Santa Claus.
Alas, almost two decades ago, Frank legally changed his name to Santa Claus. He now lives full time as Santa and even has vanity plates reading SantaSla on his black dodge pickup truck.
Santa lives on Long Island with his wife (no she has not changed her name to Mrs. Claus).
Santa estimates that he’s on thousands of fridges around the country as he’s been playing Santa for so long.
The only real variations from the fairy tale Santa is that this Santa has three tattoos and a serious love of BBQ food.
Santa was interviewed by Great Big Story, a collective of storytellers based in New York. The video collective are dedicated to capturing the “untold, the overlooked and the flat-out amazing”.
