Dear ladz, this is emotional.
Anyone that has ever lived overseas, particularly in Landan town (say it with the accent for effect), will be able to relate to some of the woes comedian, Sean Burke, has squeezed into his latest sketch.
It is true to say that there’s simply no place like home.
People just don’t understand the Irish appreciation for a good potato, the use of the word ‘grand’, or our hospitable nature… which is why Sean decided to send a letter back to the homeland to tell his friends just how much we take for granted.
To be fair, he ‘could’ve just sent them a WhatsApp message’.
He was on a tight budget for production but thankfully he managed to turn it around:
I had a budget of 5 pounds for this, or in other words, 2 million euro.
