The BBC One dance show won the viewers.
There’s a constant battle between Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor for viewers. It’s always interesting to see which show gets the most attention. Each week this year Strictly Come Dancing was consistently higher than X Factor.
But the main focus is always on the finals of both shows, to see which one got the most viewers. No surprise with the results which revealed the ratings for this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing final beat last week’s X Factor final by a long shot.
The popular dance show, which crowned Jay McGuiness pulled in 11.9 million viewers at its peak over the weekend.

The previous weekend, in comparison, when The X Factor final was televised, it had 5.9 million viewers on the Saturday and 8.4 million on the Sunday.
While more people tuned in for the second and final part on the Sunday, to see Louisa Johnson named as the winner for 2015, the figures presumably grew due to Adelle and One Direction’s performances.
