Well, it was only a matter of time we guess.
Although, we can safely say we never want to meet this man.
A Boston man has ditched the role of Santa this year, and is instead offering to live as an ‘Elf on the Shelf’ this Christmas in your very own home – for $100 an hour.
The anonymous entrepreneur decided to post his services to Craigslist, with the MailOnline outlining that:
‘For $100/hour I will come to your holiday party dressed as the Elf on the Shelf and sit in any location you assign me while I stare emptily at your guests for the duration of the event.
‘I specialize in holiday themed events, either yours or an un-expecting friend’s, but I also offer contracted private investigation and babysitting services. Please inquire about these rates, as they are negotiable based on the task at hand.’

If you think this all sounds a bit crazy, the ad is quick to point out that he has been in ‘high demand’ this season – warning potential customers to book up to 48 hours in advance to avoid disappointment.
Ever the businessman, he also added a photo so potential customers can get a feel for the ‘service’.
While we were a little unnerved by the eyes of an elf doll following us about, this is definitely kicking up the creepy factor a notch.
But hey, if it works, who’s complaining?
Let’s just hope the party guests don’t reveal too many secrets after their drinks.
