The phrase “Netflix and Chill” just took on a whole new (and the best type of anti-social) meaning.
If you thought your Netflix experience couldn’t get any better, well this little invention is about to revolutionise your marathon experience, just in time for Christmas.
If you are no stranger to a little solo binge-watching, but find the chill gets too much and you fall asleep straight away, then you are going to love “Netflix socks.”
The idea is that motion sensors in your socks detect when you’ve fallen asleep and will pause what you’re watching so that you don’t have to bother with all that rewinding/fast forwarding to find your spot.
According to Business Insider, “Netflix based the sleep-detection system in the socks off of “actigraphy,” which uses an accelerometer to tell when you’ve stopped moving for a while (presumably when you’ve fallen asleep).”
The catch? They haven’t actually been made yet, BUT Netflix have provided us with a handy dandy guide on how to make them ourselves.
We think we’ll just wait.
