Two weeks ago The Late Late Show put out a call to find the most illuminated Christmas houses in Ireland.
They certainly did not disappoint.
Hundreds of entries have been whittled down to these nine finalists who have completely and utterly impressed us and possibly the martians who can spot their gafs from outer space. They’re really putting our string of fairy lights to shame.
The house deemed to be the most impressive will get a knock on the door from comedian Al Porter who’ll be hand delivering a Christmas box full of gifts.
The finalists are; Steve Peck’s house in Ballincollig, Co Cork, The Whelan family home in Cabra, Dublin, Peggy O’Callaghan’s house in Macroom, Co Cork, Babs and Martin Daly’s house in Sallynoggin, South County Dublin, Kevin and Lorraine Lynch’s house in Limerick, Nigel Kirby’s house in Cork, Pamela and Stephen Stroughair’s house in Tallaght, South Dublin, Mary Whorriskey’s house in Kerrykeel, Donegal and Josie’s house (Kim Hanlon) in Crumlin, South Dublin.
We can’t possibly pick a favourite. Tune in to The Late Late Show, this Friday at 9.35pm on RTÉ One to find out who has clinched the top prize.
