Six-Year-Old Airlifted To Hospital After ‘Inhaling Bleach Fumes’

According to reports this evening, a six-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital after being overcome by chemical fumes.

RTÉ reports that emergency services were contacted when the child started to have trouble breathing.

It is believed she may have accidentally inhaled fumes from bleach.

An ambulance and members of the Gardaí arrived at the family home in Ennistymon at around 4:30 p.m this evening.

The child was then brought to a nearby GAA field in Ennistymon where a Shannon Coastguard helicopter was waiting to transfer her to limerick Univeristy Hospital.

Her condition is not yet known.
