What?
Bungee jumping is the ultimate thrill and it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s exciting, terrifying and it’s an experience that will stay with you.
Bungee jumping basically involves leaping off a bridge or other tall structure while your feet are tied to an elastic cord. Once you jump, you freefall for a few seconds, before the elastic cord recoils, throwing you back up into the air. You continue to fly up and down until the cord finally loses its ‘bounce.’
People who have previously done a bungee jump have described the experience as ‘amazing,’ ‘awesome’ and ‘heart-stopping.’
One thing is for sure, if you’re brave enough to jump, you’ll never forget the experience for as long as you live…
Where?
There are lots of places in Ireland where you can rent bungee jumping equipment (including cranes!) but if you want to go and do a proper jump, you’ll have to visit the Killary Adventure Company in Leenane, county Galway.
The Killary Adventure Company is home to Ireland’s only fixed bungee jump and given that it’s surrounded by stunning scenery, your jump is likely to be one to remember.
