Sixties Sirens – How To Dress Like a Hitchcock Heroine

If you're sick of Mad Men but still have a penchant for figure hugging pencil skirts and ultra feminine silhouettes, why not look to one of Hitchcock's iconic films?

Rebecca McKnight

From Grace Kelly in Rear Window to Tippi Hedren in The Birds, Hitchcock’s leading ladies all had one thing in common – killer style.

Costume designer Edith Head was responsible for creating some of our favourites and she always managed to make Hitchcock’s heroines look sexy and glamorous yet efforless all at the same time.

If you want to try and infuse your wardrobe with a bit of Hitchcock style, we’ve turned to resident Her.ie fashion expert and stylist Aoibhinn McBride and asked her to put together the five must-haves that every fan of 60s fashion should own.

From their perfect pencil skirts to their classic shift dresses, Hitchcock’s leading ladies never go out of style.
