Chelsea’s Eden Hazard was shown a straight red tonight in the 80th minute of his side’s game against Swansea after he attempting to retrieve a ball from a young ballboy who seemed to be lying across it.
With Swansea 2-0 up on aggregate, the Blues player was clearly keen to see play restarted as soon as possible, but wound up leaving a ten man side to see out the game’s closing minutes.
Since the incident, a twitter account that appears to be that of the ballboy in question suggests it was pre-planned move…
