So Sanka’s lucky egg paid off after all as Cool Runnings has been voted the most heart-warming film of all time.
A recent poll by LOVEFilm revealed that the comedy, based on the real-life story of the 1988 Jamaican bobsled team, is the best flick to get rid of the New Year blues.
The flick follows four friends who want to compete in the Winter Olympics.
John Candy and co flew into the top spot with 10% of the vote beating The Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump which claimed second and third.
The top five was finished off by Amelie and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with the top ten including a few more favourites such as Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman.
Dirty Dancing also made it into the top ten list compiled by LOVEFilm.
