Couple Leave Dancing On Ice After Dramatic Skate-Off

Somebody had to go but nobody could have foreseen the drama of last night's skate-off!

Politician Oona King and her professional dance partner Mark Hanretty are the latest couple to leave Dancing On Ice but last night’s was no ordinary elimination.

First off, all of the couples had to partake in duels earlier in the evening to determine who exactly would face the public vote.

Oona King is the latest celebrity to leave the skating show.

Oona then found herself up against rugby star Gareth Thomas in the skate-off after both celebrities lost their earlier battles as well as the public vote.

But it was no ordinary skate-off as Oona and Mark’s participation looked doubtful after he fell onto the ice and dislocated his shoulder.

Thankfully the medics were able to put it back in place and the couple were able to perform.

Mark was visibly in pain after falling on the ice before the performance.

Unfortunately not even that was enough to save them as all of the judges, bar Ashley Roberts, opted to save Gareth.

Jason Gardiner drew attention to the unusual nature of the evening: “Definitely one of the most dramatic skate-offs we’ve had but I need to take the motion out of this and I have to go with the strongest skater and performer, and that’s Gareth.”

Gareth was saved by almost all of the judges on last night’s show.
