Staff at various HMV branches around the country are continuing to stage a sit-in this weekend in protests over fears that their wages will not be paid.
The high street entertainment retailer announced on Wednesday that it was closing its Irish stores temporarily after going into receivership.

The Irish Examiner reports that protests are continuing in Limerick on Cruises Street and at the Crescent shopping centre. It has also been reported that workers at a store in Tallaght, Dublin and Patrick’s Street, Cork have also locked themselves in.
HMV announced during the week that 4-year-old cancer patient Lily-Mae’s charity single fund would also be made a priority.
