Two male TV presenters volunteered to experience labour pains for a skit for their TV show… but found it much harder to stomach than they realised.
Dutch presenter friends Dennis Storm and Valerio Zena were hooked up to electrodes that replicated the contractions women experience during labour, but the men only lasted two hours with the false contractions before they begged for the electrodes to be taken off.
The fake labour was filmed and screened during an episode of the pair’s hit TV show, Proefkonijnen (Guinea Pigs).
Before the experiment, Storm and Zena said they wanted to experience the pain of childbirth because they’d heard that “giving birth is the worst pain there is”.
As the stunt began, Zena turned to the nurse and asked if she thought the pain would make them scream.
She replied, “Yes, it definitely will.”

The men had to give up…
The pair were left doubled up in pain only minutes after the contractions kicked in.
They made a brave attempt to laugh their way through the stunt at the beginning, but the expressions on their faces gave their true feelings away.
Zena is left questioning whether he even wants children as his wife would be forced to go through an experience he describes as “torture”.
