If you love to post that selfie on Facebook, or to watch those ‘likes’ clock up on a status, you probably appreciated Facebook’s latest bug.
The social networking giant accidentally turned on a view count feature for some posts – which gave users a real idea of how popular and viewed their content really is compared to some of the random updates from their friends’ lists.
@facebook , this is creepy. I have view count showing up on a personal photo set to friends only. Why is this? pic.twitter.com/Ja3Q18YRiq

The bug appears to be only affecting the mobile Facebook site – with desktop users oblivious to their scorecards.
Confirming a bug in the system, Facebook told The Huffington Post that they are currently working to fix the issue immediately.
While most of us won’t be too devastated to wave goodbye to the viewcount, we’re sure some users will be disappointed by the news.

Don’t worry – we can all still pretend that our crush just missed that fabulous snap of us set as our latest profile picture.
Otherwise there totally would have been an extra ‘like’.
