A number of people have died after a fire broke out in Carrickmines, Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
RTÉ has reported that emergency services were called to the scene at around 4am.
Its is thought that the fire resulted in multiple fatalities but Gardaí have not yet confirmed this.
Two children and two adults were brought to St Vincent’s Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

AA Roadwatch tweeted that Carrickmines’ Glenamuck Road is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.

Members of the Garda Technical Bureau are due to attend the scene today.
