If you’re dreaming of a mini break, or looking to book some days in the sun, these are the top holiday hotspots for Irish people.
Looking at the most popular destinations for holidaymakers in the first six months, the latest Hotels.com survey shows that London’s calling.
The lure of the UK capital was closely followed by New York, with Paris, Rome and Lanzarote rounding off the top five.
New York is the only destination in the top 10 which saw Irish people venture outside of Europe.
The popular Portuguese destination of Albufeira saw the biggest jump on the list, moving up three spaces from 9 to number 6.
Rounding off the top 10 was a host of European cities, including Berlin, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Edinburgh.
