Nadiya Hussain has been crowned the winner of the Great British Bake Off 2015.

The creative baker created some legendary cakes including the visually stunning soda-flavoured cheesecake tower she made to her chocolate peacock and her bubblegum eclairs.
Nadiya was up against finalists Tamal and Ian, but scooped the award, much to the audience’s delight.
Nadiya seemed shocked by the final decision, gasping:
“There has to be a mistake!”
Previously speaking about taking part in the popular baking show, Nadiya said:
“I was a bit nervous that perhaps people would look at me, a Muslim in a headscarf, and wonder if I could bake. I hope that week by week people have realised that I can bake – and just because I’m not a stereotypical British person, it doesn’t mean that I am not into bunting, cake and tea. I’m just as British as anyone else, and I hope I have proved that.”
Reaction on Twitter seemed to support the final decision, with supporters posting messages of support (and tears):
It’s fair to say Nadiya’s family were excited by the result… #GBBOFinal pic.twitter.com/JRoItvbNyr
