Facebook have begun to roll out their new single-column design for Timelines across the social networking sphere.
The new Timeline organises users’ personal pages better and places greater emphasis on comments to and from friends.
The revamped look has gone live for users in New Zealand already.
All communication from friends and status updates are placed in the much-larger, left-hand column, while the right hand side of the page has been made much smaller as a result.

The Next Web reports that content in the right-side column is now “fixed” to show Friends, Recent Activity and other non-messaging updates on the page. Life events are no longer stretched across the full page.
The redesign also tidies up the Timeline headers like ‘Friends’, ‘Photos’, ‘Maps’ and ‘Likes’. These are now listed as a menu.
Interestingly, the relationship information has been removed from the header.
