Apple users who have upgraded their iPhone to iOS9 have experienced a bug in Whatsapp, believed to be leaving their phone without sound.
The strange glitch sees users cut off from sound if they attempt to take of add a picture to a message while playing music in a separate app.
When the user attempts to add a snap, the volume is automatically switched off.
According to The Daily Star, the volume still doesn’t return when you close the app, with the system fail being flagged by thousands of Apple users.
As well as the sound being switched off with Whatsapp, some users are seeing similar issues when opening their Facebook app.
Apple are now believed to be working on fixing the error, as the company report that the latest iOS9 has already been installed in more than 50% of all devices.
The move marks the fastest adoption in the firm’s history, which means they’ll be under pressure to get the glitch sorted as soon as possible.
