There is still a status orange fog warning in place for the country until 11.00am this morning but the weekend is supposed to bring slightly better conditions.
According to Met Éireann the dense fog will be slow to clear and could linger in some places until the middle of the day.
Overall today will be dry with some sunny spells and highest temperatures around 13 to 16 degrees Celsius.
Tonight mist and fog patches may form and temperatures will drop to between 5 and 8 degrees Celsius.

Saturday is expected to be dry and cloudy with some drizzle along coastal areas. Again temperatures during the day will be around 11 to 14 but will drop to between 5 and 9 degrees Celsius.
Sunday will apparently be rather dull and cloudy with widespread rain moving across the country as the day progresses.
