Coronation Street are planning to address the issue of ‘revenge porn’ in an upcoming storyline.
According to The Sun Steph Britton, played by Tisha Merry, will be left devastated when one of her ex-boyfriends publishes pictures of her as blackmail.
An insider told the newspaper: “The rise of revenge porn, particularly on the internet, is a very modern phenomenon and Corrie always tries to reflect what is going on in the wider society.”

“We will show how it can wreck lives. Poor old Steph is an innocent party and will be drawn into a situation not of her own making, which will have a devastating impact on her.”
The posting of ‘revenge porn’ pictures and videos online was made illegal earlier this year.
