We all know that connecting with your other half is important in building a satisfying relationship.
Sharing experiences, taking the time to talk, and having fun together are all vital in building up the trust in taking the time to getting to know someone.
Now one couple therapist let the public in on a secret date being widely supported by her industry.
We’ve all heard of date night, but the idea usually revolves around a trip to the cinema or a candle-lit dinner.

Now a new date night is on the cards – where couples are being advised to book in a three-hour window for sex.
We all know sex is a natural part of any healthy relationship, but couple therapists recognise that in the early stages, we’re working on building a bond and connection with our other half.
This is often experienced through creating a sexual bond and playing on the spark on chemistry.
As time goes on, people grow more secure in their relationship, which specialist Kim Anami recognises as a simple change in priorities:
“It isn’t that a natural biochemical drop-off happens after several years. It’s that we prioritize our connection less and that shows up in our physiology.”

Although three hours might sound like a large chunk of time, Anami points to the fact that time needs to be spent relaxing into the experience:
“You can experiment with massage, fantasies and techniques to add depth and variety to your repertoire.”
So what should you do if you can’t manage to take a whole three hours?
Anami suggests building up to the evening by texting foreplay and building anticipation.
If you’re worried about losing the spontaneity, Anami warns that taking the little bit of unexpectedness from the situation can be replaced by building up desire.
So it might just be time to start whipping out those calendars.
