Coronation Street producer Stuart Blackburn has spoken out about what fans can expect from tonight’s live episode.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he revealed: “It’s pure Corrie. It’s got the comedy. You really are watching some stuff and there’s tears of sadness, then you’re bursting out laughing.”

He added: “Then there’s shock and awe as things explode. It’s just fantastic. It’s got everything.”
Stuart, who is leaving the soap at the end of the year, said that the hour-long special has taken a lot of time and preparation.

“This has been a year in the making and everybody involved in Corrie has had something to do with it. It’s just been remarkable,” he explained.
