Alan Carr’s New Year Specstacular – Channel 4 (9.00pm)

On this New Year special Alan is joined by a number of guests including television presenter Jonathan Ross, this year’s King of Comedy Jack Whitehall and X Factor contestant Rylan Clark.

Bridget Jones’ Diary – UTV (10.00pm)

It’s a film that never gets old. Renée Zellweger plays a thirty-something-year-old who has never had a serious relationship and always goes for the wrong guy.

New Year’s Eve Show Live – The Gathering – RTÉ Two (10.30pm)

This programme, from the Dublin Countdown Concert in College Green, marks the official launch of The Gathering Ireland 2013. Miriam O’Callaghan presents.
