Love her or hate her it’s hard not to feel sorry for one of the X Factor’s most controversial contestants to date.
Following a whirlwind 16 romance, singer Katie Waissel married male model Brad Alphonso in a top-secret ceremony in New Orleans in September but sadly, the couple have since split after only two month of marriage.
It’s reported that 26-year-old Katie called time on the relationship with her spokesperson adding, “it’s a very sad time for both parties.”

Katie who shot to fame on the X Factor in 2010 under Cheryl Cole’s mentorship was one of the shows most memorable contestants even though she exited the competition in the early stages and has since pursued a music career in LA where she now lives. The Londoner who was home for Christmas was spotted jetting out of England on Saturday minus her wedding ring.
But, unfortunately for the recently split pair, taking off their respective wedding rings won’t be that simple that as they both share matching heart tattoos on their wedding fingers.
They did think it was forever…
