The Republic of Ireland Under 19s squad secured a 6-0 victory over Bulgaria in their second UEFA European Championship qualifier in Slovenia.
The team had previously drawn 1-1 with the hosts Slovenia on Tuesday evening and pushed forward for an important and much-deserved win on Thursday to pick up three points.
Megan Connolly hit the net four times, while captain Savannah McCarthy and Jessica Nolan added one each.

The U19 squad celebrate their win.
Ireland are now placed second in Group 10 behind group leaders Russia.
“We passed the ball a lot better today,” said Dave Connell.
“We had a lot of chances on Tuesday against Slovenia, but we converted them today and we were very dominant overall.”
The team will now face Russia this Sunday, September 20th, in a top of the table clash.
