Well, it’s official: Christmas 2012 is well and truly over. We all know that the festive season is great craic and a right laugh but it can be hard to return to normal after all the parties and chocolate and turkey.

According to some new research, today is the day when Christmas finally starts to take its toll on us (in the physical as well as the mental department!).  Today is the day when we start to notice that our jeans are a little snugger than they used to be and it’s also the day that we check our bank accounts for the first time since the holidays began.

In short, it’s the kind of day where all you want to do is hide under a blanket and shovel Roses into your mouth while listening to I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday on repeat.
