We all have that one relationship that we regret, just for most of us, we haven’t had to live it in the public eye.
Most people will remember Jess Simpson and Nick Lachey’s marriage when it was documented in the MTV reality show ‘Newlyweds’.
While it was a showcase for some seriously memorable moments (who could forget the chicken/ tuna debate?) the couple eventually called time on their marriage in 2006.
It seems there may still be some bitter feelings between the pair, when Jessica made a sly dig at her ex during a TV interview yesterday evening.
While appearing on CNBC to discuss her 10 year career in fashion, host Kelly Evans asked her what was the worst financial decision of her life.
Her reply?
“The biggest money mistake? I don’t know. For some reason I thought of my first marriage.”
Jessica then started laughing, before the host added:
“That’s actually a very common response.”
Since the pair split, Jessica has since remarried. She and husband Eric Johnson are parents to Maxwell Drew (3) and son Ace Knute (2).
Nick went on to marry his partner Vanessa Lachey. They also have two children, Camden John (2) and Brooklyn Elizabeth, eight months.
