Cork City Council has today issued a Code Level Orange weather warning for the city from midnight tonight (Thursday).
The warning, which was posted on CorkCity.ie warns “heavy incessant falls of rain occurring overnight Thursday and on Friday.”
“Significant totals, leading to spot flooding and treacherous driving conditions. Valid from 00:02 Friday 11th September 2015 until 23.59 Friday 11th September 2015.”
Meanwhile, Met Éireann has also warned that from tomorrow: “It is likely to be an extremely wet start.
“Incessant falls of rain across the west and southwest during the day – with some significant totals, leading to spot flooding and a lot of surface water.”
“Rain will become widespread during the day, leading to treacherous driving conditions and causing impaired visibility. A clearance may eventually develop in the southwest and parts of the west later in the evening.
“Elsewhere the rain is likely to be at its heaviest later in the evening, with high volumes possible here too, again with spot further flooding.”
Hmm… Looks like it’s not just Cork so!
