Taoiseach Enda Kenny has delivered his annual Christmas message to the country.
He praises the people of Ireland for their efforts in getting the country back on track and says he knows the huge sacrifices people are making.
Like last year’s video message, Enda’s message focuses on the impact of the recession on people.
He also mentions the difficulties faced by many people who have had a family member emigrate.
“Skype is no substitute for the hug of a dearly-loved child or grandchild,” he says.
We thought the TIME magazine might have gone to his head, but is he finally getting right?
