Some people love him. Other people hate him. But it seems Peter Barlow will be making a return to the cobbles at some point in the future.
Coronation Street producer Stuart Blackburn has hinted that the character, played by Chris Gascoyne, will return.

He told Inside Soap: “We all want Peter Barlow back! It is leaping ahead but I think he will return.
“Chris has taken time out before and then come back here. I would hope in the not-too-distant future that he will be phoning up and saying he is ready to do another stint.”

Peter left Weatherfield after he was cleared of Tina McIntyre’s murder. He then made a brief appearance this year for Deirdre’s funeral.
Stuart also touched on Carla Connor’s exit, revealing: “There is masses more story to come for Carla, and the door will be left open for actress Alison King.”
