Pudding, Penguins and a Person from the Her.ie Team: The Best of Tonight’s TV

Oh the weather outside is frightful but the telly is so delightful! Guess where we'll be tonight?

Rebecca McKnight

It’s the week before Christmas which means the festive spirit is everywhere including the small screen…

Snow Babies – BBC One (8.00pm)

Cute alert! This documentary follows a number of baby animals born in some of the coldest places on earth including penguins, snow monkeys, polar bears and arctic foxes. Narrated by Caroline Quentin.

Off the Rails – RTÉ One (8.30pm)

This evening Tulisa Contostavlos reveals her favourite beauty buys and the fashionistas, including our very own Fashion Editor Naoimh Wilkins, try to copy Kristen Stewart’s style. Singer Michael Bublé will also be talking about the latest trends.

The Town – UTV (9.00pm)

In the final part of the drama series Mark attempts to voice his grievances about the police investigation, Betty ends up in hospital and Jodie gives her honest opinion. Starring Andrew Scott and Charlotte Riley.

Heston’s Fantastical Christmas – Channel 4 (9.00pm)

Tonight the television chef waves goodbye with an epic festive feast including a Christmas pudding that would be too much for even the sweetest of teeth, edible decorations and snow cocktails. Now if that doesn’t get you in the spirit of things, nothing will!

Love Actually – RTÉ One (9.35pm)

It was one of our Christmas DVDs but tonight it’s on the telly. Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and Colin Firth are just a few of the big names to star in this flick about a number of interlinked and complicated love stories.
