A woman who was stopped at Beijing Capital International Airport for trying to carry alcohol on board, downed the bottle in defiance of the guidelines.
Known as Ms. Zhao, the female passenger was stopped when trying to carry a bottle of cognac she had bought on an earlier journey.
Faced with the option of dumping the alcohol or downing the drink, Zhao decided to drink the entire bottle of Rémy Martin XO Excellence cognac, which cost roughly €160.
Unfortunately, Zhao became incredibly drunk and aggressive, until she fell to the floor where she stayed until she was removed by security.
Speaking to the Shanghai Post, an airport security office said:
“She was so drunk… she couldn’t even stand up by herself. We took her to a room in a wheelchair so she could rest.”
Following medical care and treatment, Zhao was collected by her family after being released by police.
She was completely unaware of her actions until she sobered up shortly after 7pm.
