First the nation falls in love with it, then First Lady Michelle Obama admits to watching it, and now music legend Rod Stewart has revealed that he’s also a big fan of Downton Abbey.
According to reports the Maggie May crooner said that both he and wife Penny Lancaster love the ITV period drama and are currently in the process of re-watching it. Well for some isn’t it?!
Rod is just one of the many big names that enjoy tuning into the show.
He explained: “I’ve always enjoyed Downton Abbey but my wife didn’t know much about it, so we recently went back to the beginning and watched it all again. It’s really intelligent. Our favourite character is Lady Mary.”
The 67-year-old also said that he never has to fight for the television remote either: “We have a democratic house, so everyone watches what we want. We have more than one TV.”
The music star revealed that his favourite character was Lady Mary.
Now wonder if we were to have a Downton Abbey weekend, would Michelle and Rod pop around?
