Louis Walsh is a legend – this is something we’ve known for a long time and now it seems as though the folks over at the X-Factor are finally starting to cop on to this bit of information.
The Irish Daily Star reports that X-Factor host Dermot O’Leary has said that he believes the reality TV talent show wouldn’t be able to survive without the awesomeness that is Louis Walsh.
Louis, who has been on the judging panel for the last nine years, has become something of an institution on the talent show and his fan base has grown majorly ever since Simon Cowell left.
Dermot and Louis have great on-screen banter and, according to Dermot, this banter carries on even when the pair are not being filmed. In fact, the two of them often go for nights out as well.
“As much as it can be annoying when he says the same thing every week, I honestly don’t think we can make the show without him,” said Dermot.
“You could never really embarrass Louis. He just doesn’t worry. He doesn’t care about being the butt of the joke and that’s what I love about him,” he added.

And it seems as though Dermot isn’t the only one bigging up the judge from Mayo. Louis has said that he thinks he has become a style icon this year after his stylist gave him a bit of a makeover.
“I think I’ve been on the biggest journey fashion-wise. I’d say I’m one of the best dressed, I’ve really made an effort this year with my suits. I figured it was time to up my game and consult a stylist,” Louis admitted.
“I’ve improve the most. I actually like my polo-neck jumper. The others always look great. Nicole is stunning,” he added.
Louis also confessed that since Union J have left the programme, he’s firmly behind Jahmene.
“I’d love Jahmene to win!” he said.
